Leading commercial vehicle manufacturer in India, Ashok Leyland has recorded a 6pc jump in sales of CVs for the month of May 2016 as compared to the corresponding month. Total sales for the month stood at 9875 units as compared to 9290 units in May 2015. The sales in Medium and Heavy Commercial Vehicles (M&HCV) segment was 7469 units (6888 units), a growth of 8 per cent. But the sales in the LCV segment for May 2016 stood at 2406 units (2402).
For the April-May 2016, the total figure for M &HCV stood at 15342 units (13437), a growth of 14pc. Similary for LCV, this figure was 4715 units (4288).
